Background

Monica has long experience with both classical and modern
music. After her graduation from the Royal Academy of Music in
Stockholm in 1995 she has created three successful albums
with pioneering music, a fresh modern musical flora with the
classical harp in focus.

Monica's career started however with classical music and she
has amongst others played in the Stockholm Philharmonic
Orchestra, the Radio Symphony Orchestra (Radiosymfonikerna)
and the Swedish Chamber Orchestra (Svenska
Kammarorkestern) in Örebro. A few years back though her
career took another turn with her individual and modern music. It is composed by herself and Per Andreasson.

Monica's albums

Monica released her first album "Wind from the sea" in 1993, named "Moni" in Sweden. In this production Monica is interpreting some well known music, but there are also some new compositions by Per. The second album "Moai", released in 1997, is Monica's most successful album so far and it has won appraisal in many countries, especially in the US where it was nominated one of top ten on one of the billboard lists for a while. The last album "Behind that light" was released in 2001 and was composed entirely by Monica herself, with the exception of two songs. This album climbed to the ninth position during one month in the American New Age Voice Magazine.
